Spring has sprung in the Brecon Beacons

Lots of lambs about and plenty of blossom and new growth on the trees

As I left the house this morning, I noticed some blossom on one of the fruit trees. I’m ashamed to say that I have no idea what tree it is (maybe someone will be kind enough to let me know) as I’m not really much of a gardener and tend to spend more time in the wilds. They must be very eager to bloom as we’ve only had a couple of mild days since the freezing temperatures and a fair bit of snow.

Fruit Trees

There are a few fruit trees at the lodge and I can’t wait to see what they produce.

If it’s anything nice, I promise to have my first attempt at making jam. I’ve already promised myself a nice herb garden (can’t beat fresh herbs for cooking) and a fair bit of asparagus to go with the lovely fresh eggs we get from a local farm.
